A beautiful mix of blends at this intimate wedding in Pune
Azaad, mehfus, sabr, Khushi
When the world outside is in chaos and disarray, finding these feelings in your life and your relationship is a form of rebellion. These were the words written with mehendi on Sahana and Karan’s palms, words that beautifully showed up through their entire wedding. If there was a day at work that I’d like to relive over and over again, it would be this day. It was rich with intentionality, little ideas that I’m sure Sahana thought of in cafés, on trips, on an empty afternoon and collected for this day. Intention, care and inclusion was weaved like a gajra that was given to all the guests. There was a collection of old letters and photographs from different generations of the family. if you know me, you know that’s my heaven. This adorable property of eco FarmVille in pune was the perfect backdrop to see this magic unfold. 4 cultures, Marathi, Himachali, Tamil and Panjabi coming together with their 4 different languages, folk art, dance and music.
I realise that I gush over all my couples but every time I am over a beautiful, heartfelt celebration.. people like Sahana and Karan happen. And if as a photographer, documenter you don’t fall in love with the people you’re photographing, then what even is the point? Seeing people for who they are, even as the best versions of themselves is most of your job as a wedding photographer. And because of people like these, goodness is the easiest thing to find.
